KAMA FLOW partner Evgeny Borisov took part in the Cooler than Chuck podcast, talking about the magic of success, unnoticed niches and new opportunities for tech startups.
What they talked about:
🔹When will the Russian venture capital market recover;
🔹Why technological "islandisation" is taking place in the global market;
🔹Which startups right now can become technological leaders and displace global players;
🔹 How consumers are provoking accelerated IT development in Russia:
What do we believe in Russia? That once we catch a company in a niche that has managed to make a quality product, we will scale it to the whole world tomorrow. Why? Two things. Russia has very sophisticated consumers. Russian telecoms are the coolest, Russian banks are the coolest, and we are used to the very top products. When a startup comes to investors today, they begin to train and educate it so well that in a couple of years they turn it into a global vendor. That is, first of all. Secondly, our largest integrators - Lanit, Krok, IBS - are used to working with top products, and now these products are gone. So they take a Russian startup and refine it to integrate it into a market where a spoilt customer will want to consume it.
