Partner, Development Director of Kama Flow Eugene Borisov and Executive Director of Kama Flow Pavel Okhonin took part in the business program of the X International Forum of Technological Development TECHNOPROM-2023. The event traditionally gathers representatives of federal and regional authorities, investors, heads of scientific organizations, representatives of a wide range of innovative companies, and the expert community to discuss topical issues of the country's technological development.

So, on August 22, Pavel spoke at the plenary session of the Siberian Venture Fair "Venture Capital in a New Development Cycle". According to Pavel, one of the growth factors of the venture market may be the stock market "overheated" by rubles, where there is a shortage of interesting securities: "There is an excess of liquidity, while brokers have empty shelves. Therefore, in the next two years we expect dozens of IPOs of small—cap technology companies," he said.

In addition, within the framework of the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the representative office of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra and Kama Flow on the development of the infrastructure for venture financing of small and medium-sized businesses in the scientific and technical sphere in Yugra and the implementation of innovative projects in the region. "The industrial potential of Ugra, on the one hand, opens up a number of opportunities for our portfolio companies aimed at introducing new technologies into production, on the other hand, we expect promising innovative digs to appear in the region, to which we will be able to offer cooperation with funds managed by Kama Flow," Pavel said.

And on August 25, Kama Flow partner Evgeny Borisov acted as a speaker of the panel discussion "Corporate Venture funds: the main driver of the development of Russia's innovation ecosystem?". Together with his colleagues, he discussed the necessary measures of state non-financial support for the development of the corporate investment industry in the Russian Federation. Evgeny noted that despite the change in the attitude of corporations to the topic of open innovations and their activation in the market, the process of creating new venture funds is still slowed down, which significantly depresses the VC market.
