The central event of yesterday's AI Future Today Forum was a large-scale plenary session, which concluded the programme and logically summed up all the day's events. Speakers from organisations occupying key positions in the field of AI technologies identified the direction of AI development in Russia and shared relevant analytical information that reflects the potential of our country in the future of AI technologies.
Evgeny Borisov, Partner and Development Director at Kama Flow, emphasised the role of Russian developers and Russia as a whole in the global AI landscape:
"There is a boom in AI technologies worldwide, major corporations are investing billions of dollars in computing power, and users are experimenting with ChatGPT and MidJourney. Although the main products are still available in open source mode, one cannot help but notice that today there is a concentration of AI tools in several global centres. Russia is a rare example of a country that has its own infrastructure, powerful proprietary models developed by Yandex and Sber, among others, and a wide range of applied cases from AI startups. "And this is precisely the critical role of venture capitalists - to find and support effective industrial implementations of AI, with the right training design, quality of trained samples, ensemble of models.
The event was supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the St. Petersburg Committee for Informatisation and Communications.
