Anna Labunets, Investment Manager of KAMA FLOW, took part in the Innovation Breakfast "Trends and Money" at the Boiling Point of Novosibirsk Akadempark. Together with other market experts, she discussed current industry topics - she spoke about the results of 2024 for the Russian venture capital market and shared her forecasts for 2025.
What projects will attract investors' attention in the near future? Where to look for investors ready to invest in a technological project? How to draw attention to yourself and interest them in your product? Anna and her colleagues answered these and many other questions at the breakfast.
"2025 could prove to be a year of big changes. There is still uncertainty in the venture capital market regarding institutional and public funding sources, as high interest rates are forcing investors to be more conservative. We expect private investor activity to slow down as private equity opportunities are limited. They will focus on exits rather than new deals. At the same time, intensive support for seed-startups over the past 2 years should bear fruit: we are likely to see an increase in A+ deals. These trends will encourage investors to invest more actively in later stages" - shared Anna Labunets.
