KAMA FLOW experts conducted a large-scale study that covered the domestic industrial robotics market as comprehensively as possible. The focus was on the development of technical solutions, the growth of key global vendors, the structure of added value, and growth points in the current circumstances. From the perspective of a private investor, we conducted detailed interviews with representatives of market companies and identified the challenges and opportunities faced by suppliers, vendors, and customers at the moment. Key findings:
⚪There are no full-fledged industrial robot vendors on the Russian market yet;
⚪The base hardware takes up about 20% of the price of the final solution, having a very low margin. According to KAMA FLOW's estimates, more than 50% of the added value in the market is concentrated in the software and payload;
⚪The point of growth for Russian companies, especially in conditions of limited local market volume, may be the creation of complete product solutions based on industrial robots. For example, in Italy, the industrial robot market is about 10 times larger than the Russian one, with a comparable GDP. Its main driver is the export of automated industrial solutions, where the robot is just one of the elements of the complex.;
⚪Investments in robotics may amount to $ 120 billion to compensate for the shortage of 1.8 million people by 2030 , which is about 5.5% of the country 's GDP in 2024;
⚪The most promising segments for investments from the perspective of a private investor are:
– software;
– automated complexes based on industrial robots;
– payload.
